The Great Pumpkin Festival will take place on Saturday 26th October 2019 from 11am-5pm throughout Hebden Bridge with a pumpkin trail, live pumpkin carve, family workshops, craft stalls and musical performances. 
 
Here's what's happening so far

26th October,11.00am - 4pm

Memorial Gardens

Pumpkin Carving Workshops for all ages

Sand In Your Eye will be running free pumpkin carving workshops for all ages in the Memorial Gardens. 

Create your own masterpiece and you can then enter it into our competition. 

These sessions start every half hour and are on a first come first served basis. Bring your own pumpkin or there will be pumpkins for sale on the day supplied by Gordon Riggs Garden Centre. 

Carving suitable for over 7s.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Calder Valley Youth Theatre

Calder Valley Youth Theatre will be entertaining us with performances from 11.50am in the Memorial Gardens.

Wavy Steps

Boggart Hunting

Join us on an enchanting hunt for Boggarts with award winning story teller Ursula Holden-Gill. Its free to join the trail. 1pm and 3pm - Meet at the wavy steps. Suitable for younger children and their families.

Ghost Walk

Learn all about the ghosts of Hebden Bridge with award winning story teller Ursula Holden-Gill.  £5 adults/£3 children & concessions. Meet at 6.30pm at the wavy steps.

Pumpkin Trail

Explore Hebden Bridge looking for the official festival pumpkin scenes. Our pumpkins are often up to all sorts of silly escapades - can you spot them climbing trees, playing tricks, and messing around? 

Download a map to your phone or pick one up from one of our volunteers. If you spot all the pumpkin scenes you can enter a prize draw to win a selection of prizes kindly donated by the shops, cafes, bars and businesses of Hebden Bridge!

Live Pumpkin Carving

Come along to St George's Square and watch our professional pumpkin carver from Sand In Your Eye carve a giant pumpkin into a spooky character. 

Pop back throughout the Great Pumpkin Festival and see how they are getting on.

Logan & Manley

We are thrilled to announce that Logan & Manley will be performing live at The Great Pumpkin Festival.

 

Fellow kindness crusaders, making soulful, feel good and celebratory music peppered with a pinch of cheeky reggae. Live, they loop a sonic landscape of dynamic vocals, guitars and drums building a force for counter culture truth and good vibrations.

The Great Pumpkin Festival is delighted to have Hebden Bridge Junior Band as its opening act at 11:10am when the festival takes place on Saturday 26th of October.

Birds & Beasts

The Hebden Bridge Pumpkin Festival is delighted to welcome Birds & Beasts! 

Imagine a parallel universe where David Attenborough left the BBC in 1969, moved to California, grew his hair and joined a band.

 

Stories of survival, betrayal and devotion from the animal kingdom inspire their memorable songs.

 

Birds and the Beasts are evolving fast. Catch them while you can and then release them back into the wild.​

Get all your Samhain goodies at Earth Spirit in Hebden Bridge - they sell Samhain kits, oils, crystals and flower remedies and will be giving away Samhain scrolls to their customers.
